STEVEN GERRARD has confirmed Rangers are tracking Colombian striker Juan Alegria as he looks to follow Alfredo Morelos' route from Finland to Ibrox.
The 18-year-old claimed this week that he is on the brink of a switch to Rangers as he prepares to leave FC Honka.
Compatriot Morelos made the move from Helsinki to Glasgow three years ago and Gerrard has confirmed his interest in Alegria.
Gerrard said: "It’s slightly different. We are well aware of the player and his talent. We are always looking to recruit right through the club.
"This is something the academy has had a closer eye on than myself but we are very much aware of the boy. There is something in that one but there is nothing to report on it as of yet."
