Glasgow Warriors have confirmed that fly-half Adam Hastings will depart to join Gloucester Rugby.
Hastings's contract expires this summer and the player is believed to be eager to play in the Premiership after initially beginning his career with Bath.
Hastings is the latest Scot to leave Scotstoun for south of the border and France in recent years with the likes of Jonny Gray, Finn Russell and Stuart Hogg also making similar switches.
He is currently recovering from a shoulder injury sustained in Scotland’s win over Wales back in October.
Hastings told the Warriors website: “The chance to return to play in the English Premiership with a club like Gloucester has been an ambition of mine. However, this was an extremely tough decision Glasgow made a very good offer and I absolutely love being at the club and with the boys here.
“I’m still thoroughly enjoying being at the Warriors and have grown as a player and person since arriving in 2017.
“I’m extremely focussed on my rehab to return as soon as possible and can’t wait to pull on a Glasgow shirt before the end of the season, hopefully in front of a packed Scotstoun.”
