RANGERS are looking to strike a deadline day deal to sign Bournemouth defender Jack Simpson on loan until the end of the campaign.
The 24-year-old has already put pen-to-paper on a contract that will see him make the switch to Ibrox in the summer.
But boss Steven Gerrard could now add Simpson to his ranks before the close of business tonight as Rangers negotiate with the Cherries over a possible loan arrangement.
Gerrard has also secured the services of Scott Wright on a Bosman and the forward could join up with the Light Blues tonight if a deal can be put in place with Aberdeen.
