NATHAN PATTERSON hopes he will get a chance to redeem himself at Rangers after apologising to supporters for breaking Covid regulations.
The defender, alongside Calvin Bassey and Bongani Zungu, has now returned to Auchenhowie following a club investigation into their attendance at a party in Glasgow earlier this month.
Youth players Brian Kinnear and Dapo Mebude have also been sanctioned by Rangers and Patterson has asked fans for forgiveness following a costly error of judgement.
Patterson said: "I just want to take this chance to apologise to my family. I’ve apologised to the players and assured them nothing like this will ever happen again.
"I’ve spoken to the gaffer and I’ve spoken to Ross at great length about the situation and how we move forward.
"I apologise to the fans. Being a Rangers fan since birth and being a player here since the age of 8, I know the privileges and I know the meaning behind the shirt and the high standards that are expected at this top club.
"I’ve let myself down and I can only ask for the opportunity to go and prove what I can do on the pitch."
