THE president of Slavia Prague says he is 'ashamed' of a group of the club's fans who shared a sickening racist banner aimed at Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara in the aftermath of their Europa League tie.

Ugly scenes marred the final few minutes at Ibrox on Thursday night after Kamara accused Slavia defender Ondrej Kudela of racially abusing him.

That sparked an angry reaction from the players and after the game, manager Steven Gerrard could be seen arguing with the Czech coaching staff.

The Ibrox boss later revealed that he and the club would back Kamara to the hilt over the allegations, while Slavia chiefs insisted their player did nothing wrong.

On Friday, a group of the Czech club's ultras shared a photo of them holding up a banner surrounded by flares that read: "Kamara - just a ******".

That led to the Slavia president, Jaroslav Tvrdík, taking to social media to denounce the fans involved.

"I am terribly ashamed of the content of the photo published by some radical fans," he wrote.

"It's absolutely disgusting, pathetic and racist. NO TO RACISM!"

Libor Secka, the Czech Republic's ambassador to the UK, joined Tvrdik in condemning the incident.

He wrote on Twitter: "Nothing to do with sport. Strongly condemning such a behaviour.

"Zero tolerance to racism and all forms of violence. Appalling picture."
