CELTIC fans were rocked by the news on Thursday afternoon that club captain Scott Brown had agreed a pre-contract switch to Aberdeen at the end of the season.

The 35-year-old has been a key figure at the Hoops since joining from Hibs in 2007, and has won an incredible 22 trophies at the club.

Brown has 10 league titles, six League Cups and six Scottish Cups to his name - and could still add one more, with this season's Cup still to be played.

The skipper will go down as one of the most decorated players to have ever pulled on Celtic's famous green-and-white hoops.

And supporters have been paying tribute to the fan favourite on social media after he agreed to a player/coach role at Pittodrie.
