Frank McAvennie says Alfredo Morelos got "lucky" in the build up to his Old Firm goal against Celtic on Sunday.
The Rangers forward cheekily nutmegged Hoops skipper Scott Brown before unleashing a fine strike into the roof of the net.
Scott Bain looked suspect in the goal and Kristoffer Ajer was also slow to react when the Colombian battled his way into the box.
On the goal, McAvennie told Football Insider: “Morelos got lucky megging Scott Brown.
“That’s not a criticism of Scott, he went out to get the ball but Morelos got a bit of luck there.
“The strike was wonderful but for me, there were two elements after that.
“One, Ajer ducked and turned his back on it. Two, I think a good keeper saves that, it was two inches away from him.
“Morelos, he got lucky but in fairness, he took advantage of it and it was a magnificent hit.”
Morelos' strike against Celtic was his 12th league goal of the season.
We told earlier this week how the striker was NOT named in Kris Boyd's team of the season.
Instead the former Ibrox ace opted for Celtic frontman Odsonne Edouard to lead the line in his team.
