Rangers youngster Matthew Shiels has left the club to join Hamilton Accies.
The young full-back, 20, has penned a two-year pre-contract deal at the FoY Stadium after being released by the Ibrox club.
Confirming his departure, Gers' youth academy shared on social media: "Rangers can confirm that the club will not extend the contract of Matthew Shiels upon its expiry at the end of the season.
"Matthew joined as a U-11 and had spells on loan with Dumbarton and Clyde. Everyone at Rangers wishes Matthew well as he embarks on the next stage of his journey."
Shiels' new side Accies are likely to be plying their trade in the Championship next season after a 2-1 defeat to Ross County left them rooted to the bottom of the Premiership table with just one match remaining.
The defender has played 22 first-team professional matches throughout his short career to date with Edinburgh City, Dumbarton and Clyde respectively.
