Dundee Utd have identified Charlie Mulgrew as a potential target this summer, according to reports.
The former Celtic defender departed Blackburn Rovers and is now on the lookout for a new club.
The Arabs are themselves looking for a new boss and Tam Court is the frontrunner in that regard.
Now the Dundee Evening Telegraph claim that should he get the job he could be looking at the Scotland cap as his first signing.
Mulgrew, 35, owes a lot to the Tannadice outfit having made his top debut for the club back in 2006.
He has had a stellar career, winning seven trophies at Parkhead and playing down south with the likes of Wolves, Wigan and Fleetwood.
