Celtic have been linked with ex-Brighton ace Aaron Mooy, according to reports.
Australian outlet SBS suggests that new manager Ange Postecoglou is keen to bring the Chinese Super League star to Parkhead this summer.
The creative midfielder has previously worked with Postecoglou when he managed the Australia national team between 2013 and 2017.
It is being reported that Mooy, 30, would have to take a salary cut to move to the Glasgow giants. But with tough covid restrictions in China as well as having family ties in Scotland, Mooy could be keen to make the switch.
He has been capped 43 times for his country, netting six goals and has played for multiple English Premier League clubs.
After an injury-ridden spell at St Mirren between 2010 and 2012, Mooy returned to his native Australia, where he caught the eye of Manchester City.
Despite never playing for the club under Pep Guardiola, Mooy enjoyed a successful loan spell at Huddersfield Town, helping them gain promotion to the top tier of English football.
His success on loan led to a permanent move the following summer where chipped in with seven goals for the club.
He would later move to Brighton before making the switch oversees to China in 2020, where he has played 15 times for Shanghai SIPG scoring twice.
The Hoops are likely to face a rebuild of their squad this summer, with the likes of Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie being tipped for moves away from Scotland.
Long-serving captain Scott Brown has also departed for Premiership rivals Aberdeen.
Postecoglou will inherit a wounded side after Rangers pipped them to the title last season and a St Johnstone cup double left the side trophyless.
The manager is expected to arrive at the club next week following his period of quarantine.
