IANIS HAGI is confident he is in the right place to continue his rise and rise in the game after dismissing talk of a big-money move to Roma.
Reports in his homeland have suggested that the Romanian could be a January transfer target for Jose Mourinho as Rangers attempt to hold onto one of their most prized assets.
Boss Steven Gerrard has hailed the playmaker for his talent and attitude and backed Hagi to strive for further improvements to aid the champions at home and abroad this term.
Hagi is in line to start for Rangers against Dundee this afternoon after his match-winning performance in midweek and believes he will continue to impress under the guidance of Gerrard in the coming weeks and months.
Hagi said: "Right now I’m in a position where [today] there is a game. After five days, there is another game.
"I’m fully concentrated on Rangers. I don’t think right now is the moment to talk about transfers. The transfer window just ended so there is no point even talking about transfers.
"I’m just focusing on my game, on Rangers. There is an international break soon. So that’s where my head is.
"Before I came here, they knew what type of player I was. Before I came, I knew what type of team I would be playing in.
"It was just a simple way to adapt me as a player them as coaches and just find the right position for me. Throughout the year and a half I have been here, I have grown a lot as a player, physically and technically.
"I can play different positions. I can play as an eight as well. I feel really comfortable there.
"I’ve added a lot to my game and I still have a lot to add. That’s what I’m still focusing on.
"I’m still trying to figure different types of training and ways to get better with the coaching staff.
"As long as I’m in a position where I can create on the pitch and do my job as a No. 10, I feel really good."
