Allan McGregor 6
Didn’t have an awful lot to do in Denmark. Was comfortable for the majority of the night and only beaten by an own goal where he had no chance of keeping it out.
James Tavernier 5
A relatively quiet night for the Rangers captain. He wasn’t afforded the space he’s used to down the flank and spent large spells of his night tracking back. Tried his best to create but didn’t hit the mark with his crosses.
Connor Goldson 7
A solid showing for Goldson who did well to win most of his battles both in the air and on the turf. Looked assured on the ball and competed well in the opposition box from set-pieces.
Leon Balogun 5
A disappointing night for the big defender who headed into his own net on the stroke of half-time when attempting to head clear; but could’ve done better. To his credit he regained composure for the second-half and stood up to the challenge.
Borna Barisic 6
Recalled to the starting line-up in place of Bassey after overcoming a minor injury and put in a decent performance. Reliable when defending and pushed forward to create chances with cross-balls to the back-post.
Steven Davis 6
Anchored the midfield in a back-and-forth match. Tried to put his foot on the ball and control the game but couldn’t dictate the play as he suffered from some uncharacteristic sloppy passing in the middle.
Glen Kamara 6
Overcame doubts over his fitness ahead of the match to put in a typical display. Always available for the ball and just as eager to defend for his side but wasn’t able to push up the park as the home side looked to stop Rangers from playing.
Scott Arfield 6
A willing runner from the midfield and one bright spark in the first 45 minutes for Rangers. Keen to race in behind the Brondby backline and cause problems. Could be slightly disappointed to be subbed early in the second-half.
Joe Aribo 7
Started the night as part of the front three before being dropped into midfield. Confident in possession and not wasteful instead offering deft touches and clever through balls all night.
Fashion Sakala 6
Came into the match after taking the match-ball in the rout over Motherwell but wasn’t as effective in Denmark. Rifled a shot past the post after nine minutes and showed some glimpses of quality but couldn’t find the net.
Alfredo Morelos 6
Unlucky not to be on the scoresheet after finding the net on four minutes just for it to be disallowed. Fizzed another early effort just wide of the post but didn’t have a clear sight of goal before being subbed just before the hourmark.
Ianis Hagi (for Arfield, 56) 7
Part of the triple change which changed the game for Rangers. Clever on the ball and showed his class by taking his chance to equalise with a stellar finish.
Ryan Kent (for Sakala, 56) 7
Returned to the team with a bang and added a real zip to Rangers’ play. Instrumental in providing the assist for Hagi’s leveller and was a problem for Brondby until the end.
Kemar Roofe (for Morelos, 56) 6
Desperately close to a last-gasp winner when his improvised header rippled the side-netting in the dying seconds.
Juninho Bacuna (for Davis, 72) 3
No thrills performance after being brought into the midfield three with 20 minutes left.
Calvin Bassey (for Barisic, 81) 2
Brought on for the final ten minutes.
