RANGERS' away ticket allocation for Tynecastle has been slashed, it has been revealed.
Just over 1,000 briefs have been made available to the Ibrox side's travelling fans.
The Scottish champions have today lifted the lid on the situation, as they expressed their disappointment over the move to cut the ticket allocation by Hearts.
Previously, Rangers, Celtic and Hibs have all been given the full Roseburn Stand, while most other clubs are given just one side of the stand.
However, it now appears that Rangers will be limited to the same for the upcoming game on December 12.
A Rangers statement reads: "Rangers can confirm that the away allocation for our match against Hearts on the 12th December is just over 1,000 tickets which is significantly lower than previous visits to Tynecastle.
"Rangers has expressed its disappointment to Hearts regarding this reduced allocation and requested additional tickets are made available if possible.
"The demand for tickets for this match is exceptionally high, with nearly 11,000 registrations received.
"This has created very difficult conditions for the ticket allocation process. In light of the small allocation and exceptionally high demand, we have decided to only ballot tickets within the Gold MyGers Membership tier.
"In addition to this, to be included within this ballot the Gold MyGers Member must have registered for at least six domestic away games this season.
"As part of this process, a registration will only be considered valid if you have purchased a ticket that has been subsequently offered to you or if you did not receive a ticket that you registered for.
"For the avoidance of doubt, this means that if you registered for a match and then did not purchase the ticket that was offered to you, your registration will not be factored in.
"Rangers Supporters Clubs will receive an allocation for this match but in line with the smaller allocation we have received, it will unfortunately be a lower allocation than normal.
"Successful applicants for the Hearts match will be notified today (25th November).
"We would also like to share some information on how tickets for our away match versus Hibernian on the 1st December were processed.
"Although all season ticket holder MyGers Members were eligible to register for this match, the ballot only included supporters who had registered for at least four domestic matches this season.
"As the allocation for Easter Road was 3,800 tickets, we were able to offer tickets to gold, silver and bronze MyGers Members. We would like to thank supporters for their outstanding commitment to following the team away from home and we will share information on other December away games as soon as the opposition clubs have confirmed our allocations.
