ROBBIE FOWLER has thrown his name in the ring to become the next Hibs manager, according to reports.
It is said that the Liverpool legend has emerged as a possible candidate to replace Jack Ross.
The Daily Record claim the legendary strike has made contact with the Edinburgh outfit over the weekend.
He is believed to have expressed his interesting in taking on the job.
Fowler has previous managerial experience in Australia and India.
He has moved back to the UK now, and is looking for a job on these shores for his next job.
Fowler left East Bengal by mutual consent in September.
The 46-year-old hopes to be in with a shot of leading Hibs into the Premier Sports Cup final against Celtic.
A source in the report states: “Robbie has already been in touch with Hibs to hand in his CV.
“He’s a highly ambitious young coach and deadly serious about this opportunity. Having cut his teeth as a coach on two different continents Robbie would love the opportunity to implement his ideas a lot closer to home in Edinburgh.”
