ANOTHER transfer window and yet more speculation over the future of Alfredo Morelos.
The Rangers striker has never shied away from discussing a big-money move away from Ibrox and he has revealed that he would like to test himself in an elite European league.
The Sunday Post report today that Newcastle are interested in Morelos with a £20million move quoted.
Eddie Howe has money to spend after the Saudi Arabian takeover and it is understood that the Colombian has been made an "urgent target".
Meanwhile, Rangers are eyeing a possible move for Colombian winger Frank Castaneda after his contract with Sheriff Tiraspol ended.
The 27-year-old helped to stun Real Madrid in the Champions League this season and as a free agent, he is now attracting plenty of transfer interest.
Italians Empoli and Salernitana, Samsunspor of Turkey, Sochi from Russia and Bundesliga outfit, Augsburg are all also said to be interested in Castaneda.
Castaneda netted against Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League qualifiers and was also prolific in the 2020/21 title season as he grabbed 28 goals.
