PARTICK THISTLE striker Zak Rudden has joined Dundee on loan until the end of the season, at which point he will become a permanent player after signing a pre-contract with the Premiership club earlier this month.
The Scotland Under-21 internationalist is one of the leading scorers in the Championship and has been an important player at Firhill since joining Ian McCall's side from Rangers in January 2020.
At the same time, Dens Park forward Alex Jakubiak - whose own deal expires this summer - has joined up with the Jags on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
"We’ve been looking to strengthen our options up front this window and we’re pleased to be able to bring Alex in to do that," McCall told the club's website. "He’s another player like Robbie Crawford who’s been at a Premiership club during the first part of the season and hasn’t had as much game time as he would have liked.
"That means he should come here with plenty of hunger to get on the pitch and to contribute to the team as we head into what is going to be a very busy period for the team."
Jakubiak was the second new arrival in Maryhill on deadine day after St Mirren winger Kyle McAllister put pen to paper on a loan move until the end of the season.
"I’m very happy to add Kyle to our squad for the rest of the season," McCall added. "He’s a talented player who’ll bring more creativity to the team from middle to front.
He’s someone who brings a bit of versatility as well as his quality having played centrally and out wide before.
“He’s got a good amount of experience at Premiership level and also knows what the Championship is like from his first spell with St Mirren so we feel he’ll be a valuable part of our team between now and the end of the season.”
