SCOTLAND's Under-21 star Elliot Anderson could be swiped from under the nation's nose by England, according to a report.
The playmaker, 19, plays for Newcastle.
He has been capped at youth level for Scotland and has been involved with Scot Gemmill's U21s.
He has also played for England's U19s in a friendly.
And the Daily Mail say the Auld Enemy are ready to secure his international future with them.
Anderson is currently on loan with Bristol City, working under former Rangers player Joey Barton.
Speaking about the Scotland youth recently, Barton said: "I've been listening to Bill Shankly tapes a lot.
"He talked a lot about a 19-year-old Diego Maradona and how he slows down in the penalty area, exactly like Elliot Anderson does. Such a talent.
"Elliot has been brilliant for us from the first day we brought him in. I would have paid to watch him tonight - he was that good."
