CELTIC and Rangers fans can begin to plan for the 2022/23 campaign as dates have been announced for next season's Champions League.

Giovanni van Bronkchorst's Light Blues begin in the third round of qualifiers and will have to navigate their way through four games to reach the group stage, whereas their city rivals Celtic go straight there thanks to their league title win.

Having just missed out on an automatic group stage place by losing the Europa League, Rangers look to July 18 to find out who they will draw in the qualifiers.

Those games will be played on August 2/3 and 9, with the play-off draw also on August 2, and the play-off games taking place on August 16/17 and 23/24.

Should Rangers make it all this way, the following dates will concern both teams:

Group stage draw - August 25.

Match 1 - September 6/7.

Match 2 - September 13/14.

Match 3 - October 4/5.

Match 4 - October 11/12.

Match 5 - October 25/26.

Match 6 - November 1/2.

For those who pass this stage, it will be time to look ahead to the last 16 draw on November 7, and any games and draws from then on will take place in 2023 on the following dates:

Last 16 - February 14, 15, 21, 22 and March 7, 8, 14, 15.

Quarter-final and semi-final draw - March 17, 2022.

Quarter-final - April 11/12 and 18/19, 2023.

Semi-final - May 9/10 and 16/17, 2023.

Final - June 10, 2023.
