RANGERS have joined the race to sign Aston Villa starlet Cameron Archer, according to a report.
The 20-year-old spent last season on loan with Preston in the English Championship, where he bagged on seven occasions.
This has led to growing interest in the young striker for various clubs across England.
And talkSPORT report that the Ibrox club have joined them by showing interest in the U21 striker.
Middlesbrough and Watford are reported to be in the hunt for Archer's signature.
It remains to be seen whether Steven Gerrard's connections to Rangers would have any bearing in a potential deal.
