GRANT SAVOURY has landed a sweet move to Queen's Park.
The 21-year-old is a product of Celtic’s U-17s who moved to Peterhead last year.
The attacking midfielder made 25 league appearances last season and contributed to 10 goals in that time.
The player was contracted until June 2023 but following the transfer has today signed a two-year deal with the Glasgow club.
The finances involved in the deal remain undisclosed, but whatever it entails Queens Park Director of Football Marijn Beuker certainly thinks it was worth it.
He said: “We are very happy with what is another fantastic signing for the club. We have been looking at Grant for several months and we appreciate a player of his quality. We are looking for players who are creative and who can entertain the fans and Grant is certainly a player that fits that profile.”
Savoury commented on how much he is looking forward to playing with the newly-promoted club, stating: “I’m delighted to have joined the club. When I heard Queen’s Park were interested, I was very eager to get the deal over the line, so it’s very pleasing to have done that. It’s clearly an exciting time for the club on the back of two promotions and I’m excited to be here and excited at the prospect of helping the team have a good season in the Championship.”
The youngster will join up with the rest of the team when the players return for pre-season on June 17 as they look to start preparations for a tough season ahead.
