GIOVANNI VAN BRONCKHORST has revealed midfielder Nnamdi Ofoborh has yet to return to training with Rangers as he continues treatment for a heart issue.
Ofoborh made the move to Ibrox last summer as he put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal and joined former Bournemouth team-mate Jack Simpson in Glasgow.
But his Light Blues career was quickly put on hold after tests revealed a heart condition that kept him out of action throughout his first season north of the border.
The 22-year-old faces a fight to pull on his boots again and Van Bronckhorst admits he is unsure what the future holds amid the ongoing uncertainty over Ofoborh's situation.
Van Bronckhorst said: "I haven’t welcomed him on the pitch and Steven [Gerrard] also didn’t. He is a player who had some problems, still has problems, and it is a situation we have to be very careful about to make sure we make the right decisions firstly for the health of him.
"The process is still going. I don’t know what will happen in the future but for me the most important thing is his health.
"We have seen him and he comes to the training ground once in a while. He is still one of the boys.
"If you see him, he is very good with the boys and also very energetic and happy and I feel really bad for him that he cannot be on the pitch. The most important thing is the heath."
