A RANGERS employee has left the club following backlash from fans regarding a controversial social media post, according to a report.
The Scottish Daily Express report that Oli Pfeiffer has left his role as the club's head of partnership management.
It comes after he seemingly posted a photo of himself in the away end from Rangers' Champions League clash with Liverpool on Wednesday night.
A widely-shared photo emerged on social media of the ex-Manchester United & City employee posting on Instagram on Thursday.
The pic in question showed him among the 2,636 Liverpool fans at Ibrox. The caption on his social media post read: “LFC easy ok”.
Hundreds of Gers fans took to social media to voice their displeasure over a club official posting such content following the 7-1 hammering of Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side.
And this report states that Pfeiffer has left Rangers with immediate effect.
