It was a big night for two young rising Scots south of the border.
Both Calvin Ramsay and Ben Doak made their senior debuts for Liverpool.
Former Aberdeen right-back, Ramsay, started the League Cup tie against Derby County at Anfield.
The 19-year-old's been made to be patient since his big £6.5million move during the summer.
It was worth the wait, though. He was comfortable in possession and showed his defensive capabilities against the League One outfit.
He certainly gained plenty of encouragement from the Reds faithful.
On 74-minutes, another immensely talented Scottish teenager, Doak, was introduced to the fray.
Signing from Celtic's academy in the summer, Doak has made quite the impact on Liverpool's reserve team, scoring for fun in the UEFA Youth League.
The game finished 0-0, with a penalty shootout required to determine the winner.
Jurgen Klopp's side emerged victorious, with Harvey Elliot bagging the winning kick to progress to the next round.
