CELTIC kick-off the Sydney Super Cup on Thursday morning with their opening match against Sydney FC.
Ange Postecoglou headed back to Australia with domestic fixtures paused for the World Cup.
And the Celtic boss is thrilled to take his squad Down Under to compete in the mid-season competition.
Celtic will face both Sydney FC and Everton in friendly matches this week - but Postecoglou insists this is not a complete break for his squad.
"We are still in camp and working," said the Celtic manager.
"It is not like it is a break but I just think being away from the competitive environment of Glasgow and the Scottish Premiership is good for the lads.
"They can spend some time together and work hard in training. It will give them a good mental break from a pretty tough schedule."
On returning to Asutralia, Postecoglou added: "It is good. It reminded me how far away Australia is.
"I haven't been home in a while, but it is good to be here, and I think the lads are settling in now.
"Once they get over the jet lag, I am sure they will enjoy it. We are looking forward to the games."
