STEVEN GERRARD is the bookies' favourite to become the next manager of Rangers after Giovanni van Bronckhorst was sacked.
We exclusively revealed this morning that the Ibrox club have decided to part ways with the Dutchman following a poor start to the season both domestically and in Europe.
It is understood that assistant manager Dave Vos, coach Roy Makaay and Van Bronckhorst's support staff will also be leaving Ibrox.
Gerrard is the 2/1 favourite to return to Rangers after Van Bronckhorst was sacked.

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “Steven Gerrard is the 2/1 favourite to make a sensational return as Rangers manager after Giovanni van Bronckhorst was sacked on Monday.
"QPR boss Michael Beale is 4/1 to replace the Dutchman, with Sean Dyche 8/1.”
