Celtic transfer target Cho Gue-sung has remained tight-lipped on a possible switch to Glasgow, but he insists a move to Europe would be a "dream".
The South Korean striker has been the subject of increased speculation after a number of impressive displays during the World Cup for his country.
Cho scored twice against Ghana in the tournament and has since been linked with a move to Ange Postecoglou's Celtic.
Speaking about recent speculation, he said: "I haven't heard anything about European clubs.
"However, as a player, I naturally have a dream to go out on the world stage and face world-class players.
"Entering the European stage has been a dream since I was young. I want to go to any place where I can improve my skills and grow."
Cho's father Cho Chae-hwan spoke about a transfer move for his son this week as he revealed that a deal was close.
He explained: "The advice I have given my son is when he signs for a team abroad, go to a club that can play the way he likes, rather than choosing a club because they are a big name.
"He needs a club that will help him adapt and settle down to a new lifestyle on and off the pitch.
"I know his agent is in the process of finalising negotiations regarding his transfer overseas. He will certainly go to Europe.
"Ahead of the World Cup, I told him that this was a tournament that he had to show everyone what he could do on the pitch and I think he did that.
"He has had a great time at the World Cup and I am certainly very proud of him."
Fenerbahce and Rennes have also been linked with the 24-year-old who is currently plying his trade for Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.
