Kenny McLean has lifted the lid on recent rumours linking him with a move to Rangers.
The Norwich City midfielder had been linked with agreeing a pre-contract switch to his boyhood heroes in January.
Since such speculation, the 30-year-old has signed a new deal to stay at Carrow Road until the summer of 2025.
While the ex-Aberdeen playmaker admits he'd love to make the move one day, there was nothing concrete behind the transfer talk in recent months.
Speaking about his future, he told Talk Norwich City: "I think long term, it will be back home in Glasgow."
The host of the podcast then went on to reveal that they had been in touch with Gers hero Kris Boyd.

The pundit had cheekily text in to instruct them to ask McLean when he is signing for Rangers.
The Scotland international replied: "I get asked that so much, honestly.
"No, not really (when asked prospect of signing a pre-contract).
"There's always talk. But there's never been anything in front of me saying 'there you go,' pulling on my heart strings.
"In the past there has been more than just paper talk. It's never materialised into anything.
"Would I love it one day? Of course. If you're brought up and that's who you support then of course I would. My family would be over the moon."
Meanwhile, Rangers midfielder Steven Davis has received an an honorary doctorate from Queen's University in Belfast.
The Northern Ireland captain has been honoured for his services to sport in his homeland.
The 37-year-old was pictured today in his robes to mark the occasion.
Davis can ass the degree to his list of other achievements in football, including his title as an MBE for his services to the game which he received in 2017.
