Kris Boyd is certainly no stranger to a wind-up.

And in the aftermath of Celtic's 1-0 victory over Aberdeen this afternoon, the Rangers hero couldn't resist a dig towards Ange Postecoglou's men.

The ex-Scotland striker was on punditry duty alongside Hoops idol Stiliyan Petrov on Sky Sports for the game.

Former Aberdeen boss Stephen Glass also accompanied host Eilidh Barbour in the studio at Pittodrie.

The Dons very nearly held out for a 0-0 draw in the lunchtime game, however, a late strike by Callum McGregor sealed a deserved three points for the visitors, who dominated the game throughout.

While they defended well, it was a tough watch for the Aberdeen faithful, and it doesn't get any easier with Rangers coming to town on Tuesday evening.

After today's encounter, Petrov questioned whether Jim Goodwin would use the same tactics against Michael Beale's team.

This sparked the cheeky one-liner from Boydy.

Petrov said: "“They (Aberdeen) are going up against another big team on Tuesday."

Boyd said: "The bigger team."

Barbour interrupted: "You can argue about that later."

Petrov: "It will be interesting to see if they go into the two games with the same approach."

Before a smiling Boyd finished: "Tune in on Tuesday and you’ll see that my friend.”

The victory for Celtic reinstated their nine-point lead over Rangers at the summit of the Premiership.
