Former Rangers and Motherwell midfielder Nicky Law is reportedly set to take his first steps into coaching.
The 34-year-old will be named as assistant manager to ex-West Ham star Jack Collison at Huntsville City in the MLS Next PRO.
The Englishman has been playing his football in the USL Championship with Tampa Bay Rowdies since the earlier months of 2022.
He previously played for Indy Eleven but was traded by the club.
Now, Football Scotland report that ex-Gers Championship winner Law will leave the Rowdies in favour of a new challenge with Huntsville.
They say that he will take on the role as player/assistant head coach.
Collison has reportedly left Atlanta United 2 for the opportunity to be his own man at Huntsville.
Law is a well-known name within Scottish football having turned out for both Motherwell and Rangers.
He scored 13 goals in 86 appearances at Fir Park, while between 2013 and 2016 he turned out 126 times for the Ibrox club, netting on 24 occasions.

Meanwhile, Ryan Jack has revealed he has yet to start discussions with Rangers regarding a new deal as he expressed his desire to remain at Ibrox beyond next summer.
The midfielder helped boss Michael Beale mark his Premiership bow in the dugout with victory over Hibernian on Thursday night after scoring the second goal in a 3-2 Ibrox victory.
Now Jack is determined to become a mainstay of the midfield that Beale will put his faith in during the second half of the season following his appointment as Giovanni van Bronckhorst's successor as manager.
