Sunderland and Scotland star Ross Stewart could be headed for Brentford, according to a report.

The Scottish international has recently held contract talks with the Black Cats.

However, it's said that the striker and the club are still some distance apart in terms of agreeing a fresh deal.

It's said that the club may now have to listen to any bids that come their way for the 26-year-old.

And the Scottish Sun report that Brentford are one of the sides keen to make a move.

They say that the Bees' scouts have started intensive checks on the ex-Ross County foreard.

Said to have been a target for Rangers, it appears that the Irvine-born player could be set for life-changing money in the Premier League.

Brentford are keen to secure the services of another striker due to the potential lengthy ban hanging over Ivan Toney.

The report states that Greek giants Olympiakos have watched Stewart in action.

Since his move to Sunderland almost two-years-ago, Stewart has been capped for Scotland and also helped to fire the Stadium Of Light side to promotion back to the Championship.
