Rangers will submit a third bid for Morgan Whittaker in the next few days, it has been reported.
The Ibrox club have been interested in the young attacker for some time now.
The 22-year-old is a player that Michael Beale is a big fan of and has been tracking all of this month since being recalled by Swansea from his loan at Plymouth.
The window shuts in just under two weeks' time.
And the Daily Record say that Rangers will test Swansea's resolve with a third bid soon.
The clubs are said to be quite far apart in their differences over the fee as things stand, with Rangers' first two bids rejected.
Whittaker was left out of the Swans squad to take on QPR yesterday. Having already played for Plymouth, if he plays for the south Wales side then he cannot feature for another club this season, and so a move to Rangers would be off.
Boss Russell Martin provided an update on the situation last night.

He told BBC Wales: "Nothing has changed. We have not received any new bids and nothing has changed except for Morgan's frame of mind.
"We had agreed he was going to be in the squad and then Morgan told me just after my press conference on Friday that he wasn't in the right frame of mind to be in the squad or to travel.
"It is disappointing, we'd have loved for him to be involved today. I think he could have made a difference, it would have been a good game for him to come on and be involved in.
"I can't see how a deal gets done with how far apart the two clubs are. We have to respect his frame of mind.
"I am sure there will be loads of people who will be upset by it and frustrated by it, but he's a young man. It's frustrating as it just means it is longer until we can get him on the pitch with us.
"It'll be 10 days and then the window will be closed and we can look at getting him on the pitch."
