Duncan Ferguson is set for his first permanent gig in management.
The former Dundee United, Rangers and Everton star looks set to be handed his first opportunity as a No.1.
The Times report that the Scot will become Forest Green Rovers manager.
The EFL side are currently bottom of League One.
It would appear that the stiff challenge of keeping them in the division has not put the Everton legend off the job, though.
He has previous experience as a caretaker manager, fulfilling that role at Goodison Park on more than one occasion.
It's claimed that Ferguson's appointment is expected to be confirmed later today.
He will have several former Scottish-based players to pick from in his squad.
They include Regan Hendry, Dylan McGeouch and Charlie McCann - who joined the club in the past few days from Rangers.

Meanwhile, Filip Helander has points to prove to his manager, his team-mates and his supporters. The biggest questions are the ones he must ask himself as he seeks to find the answers to salvage his career.
The defender has become something of a forgotten man at Ibrox but Michael Beale needs no reminding how good Helander can be on his day and what an asset he could be to Rangers.
It would be easy to write Helander off as a lost cause, to thank him for the memories and wish him well for the future. Beale won't consign him to the scrapheap just yet, however.
