FORMER Rangers striker Jonatan Johansson has returned to Auchenhowie in a coaching role.
The 47-year-old spent time on the first team staff during Pedro Caixinha’s short reign as manager in season 2017/18.
And we can reveal that Johansson - who took a session with the Under-16s on Saturday - has now taken up an academy position after joining the staff that is overseen by Craig Mulholland.
The former Finland international started his coaching career at Morton and spent three seasons as Under-20s boss at Motherwell before becoming assistant manager to national Markku Kanerva in his homeland.
His time at Ibrox was followed by a season as Morton boss and a stint at TPS Turku and he has now returned to the Light Blues once again to help the next generation of kids progress towards Michael Beale’s first team.
