Celtic gaffer Ange Postecoglou is on the radar of Leeds United in regards to their vacant managers position.

American Jesse Marsch was dismissed by the Elland Road club yesterday after less than a year in charge. 

His team lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest on Sunday, which spelled the end of his tenure at the Premier League side.

He left the club just outside the relegation zone. They are only above Everton on goal difference. 

Postecoglou has been among the bookies' favourites to take over the reins at the Lily Whites.

Now, Sky Sports News report that the Australian is one of the names on Leeds' radar.

Rayo Vallecano boss Andoni Iraola and West Bromwich Albion head coach Carlos Corberán are also linked with the job.

The broadcaster's report that Marcelo Bielsa won't be returning despite some strong suggestions he might.

Their report also stresses that the Leeds hierarchy are looking at other potential candidates.

There is no suggestion either that they are far down the path to obtaining the services of a new manager, with no approach made for anyone yet.

That said, Sky say Leeds are looking to make a fairly swift appointment.

Ex-Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson is very keen to see his former club land Postecoglou. 

The one time England No.1 wants them to "push the boat out" to attract the Aussie.

He said: "I know there has been talk of Carlos Corberan at West Brom, but I personally would love to see Postecoglou come down from Celtic.

“They have to get somebody who hits the ground running. People talk about someone who knows the league inside out and know the players. But for me it has to be a man-manager.

“I think it would be a very difficult time to get Postecoglou obviously, as it’s looking like they’re going to win the league again and another trophy for him up there.

“But I think of his man-management skills and the  way he’s adapted himself to the Scottish Premiership and the trophies he’s won.

“He’s got Harry Kewell as his assistant up there, so there is a link already.

“I think it’s only going to be a matter of time before he does come to the Premier League and I’d love to see Leeds push the boat out and go and get him now.”
