Rangers may be nine points behind arch city rivals Celtic at the top of the Premiership.
However, Gers skipper James Tavernier insists that with this Sunday's Viaplay Cup final just around the corner, the momentum on league business could change should the result go in their favour.
The Glasgow giants will meet at Hampden to battle it out for the League Cup this weekend.
It's a one-off game and anything can happen. Both teams are in stellar form heading into the showpiece fixture.
Tavernier believes Rangers can win the game if he and his teammates play to the best of their abilities.
And he says this could see a switch in momentum in Rangers favour from Celtic, as League Cup glory could sow a seed of doubt at Parkhead ahead of the main title run-in.

He told Sky Sports: "Obviously on our behalf, if we do win the cup, it will keep us in that right momentum we need to be and stand us in good stead for the next game and the games to come.
"We know it'll be a tough game with tough opposition but we know if we're at our best and sticking to the managers plans, we'll give it our all and whether it's 90 or 120 minutes you've got to do everything possible to bring that cup home."
