Billy Gilmour has handed Scotland a boost after returning to training with Brighton following a lay-off
The midfielder has not played competitive football for nearly a month due to injury but has now rejoined his team-mates to prepare for tomorrow’s Premier League visit of West Ham.
Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi said: “Billy Gilmour is working with us now.”
The former Chelsea player’s return to fitness will please national team boss Steve Clarke ahead of the Euro 2024 qualifying clashes with Cyprus and Spain later this month.
Gilmour has been a regular in the Scotland squad since making his debut in June 2021, picking up 16 caps.
The 21-year-old has managed ten outings for the Seagulls so far this season, his last coming in in the February 4 win over Bournemouth.
