A release date for Celtic's new fourth kit has been confirmed.

Adidas today revealed Celtic's new all-dark green alternative jersey on their website.

Leaks of the kit emerged at the end of last week, with the circulated pic of the shirt sending Hoops fans into overdrive, with most loving the look of it.

This morning, images appeared on the Adidas online store which seemed to confirm the new kit.

However, it appears this was done accidentally, with the clothing giants pulling all of the images, apart from the shorts which are still listed.

The jersey will retail at £65 and will be available for fans to buy from March 16 at 8.30am, which is St Patrick's Day weekend.

It is billed as their fourth kit. It is a solid bottle green colour.

It also features an Irish tricolor on the shirt's collar and cuffs, with a giant four-leaf clover on the chest and a Celtic cross on the back neck.

It is thought that the first chance for supporters to wear this to a match will be on the 18th at home to Hibs, where it is also expected that the first team will don their new colours.

Meanwhile, Celtic winger Mikey Johnston has declared his allegiance to the Republic of Ireland.

The 23-year-old has received FIFA international clearance to turn out for Stephen Kenny's side moving forward.

The Hoops academy product has decided to play for Ireland rather than await any potential call-up to the Scotland national team.

Johnston, who is currently on loan at Primeira Liga side Vitória Guimarães, has completed the eligibility process and is now available for selection ahead of Ireland's international fixtures against Latvia and France later this month.
