A Glasgow community cycled for laughs to celebrate a major event coming to the city.
Comedians and Lambhill locals took part in a funny bike ride to support the UCI Cycling World Championships coming to Glasgow this August.
The event was hosted by Canadian comedian Dion Owen, who is known for cycling between comedy festivals all over the world and volunteering in community cycling along the way.
People of all ages took part alongside entertainers from the Glasgow International Comedy Festival along a circular route from Lambhill Stables, taking in Stockingfield Bridge and the Kelvin Aqueduct.
On the return to the stables comedians Dion, Craig Wilson, and Kate Hammer performed to attendees - once everyone had gotten their breath back.
Comedian Dion added: “It was so great to be in Glasgow to host the ComicUnity Bike Ride with comedians and the local community.
“The Lambhill Stables are a real inspiration, supporting and promoting cycling in the local community.
“Having cycling as part of the programme for the Glasgow International Comedy Festival is a great way to promote cycling as a fun and engaging activity for everyone, and it was brilliant to be involved.”
Commenting, Festival Director Krista MacDonald said: “As a major event in Glasgow, it was great to use the Comedy Festival as an opportunity to promote the UCI Cycling World Championships coming to Glasgow.
“Lambhill is an important part of the Comedy Festival, and it’s great to support the local community with events to make sure everyone can have a good laugh.”
The event, supported by Glasgow Life and local business Velo-City Deliveries, encourages people to take to the pedals whilst having a laugh along the way.
