Kris Boyd has rubbished Celtic handball claims from Rangers boss Michael Beale and captain James Tavernier.
The Ibrox camp claimed that Kyogo Furuhashi's second goal during today's derby clash should not have stood after the ball appeared to hit Jota on the arm.
The Portuguese winger had his arm by his sides as Ben Davies looked to head the ball out of play, and referee Kevin Clancy did not feel the incident was worthy of a free-kick to Rangers.
“I'm obviously really disappointed to concede the goals that we did, but I've just looked back and just seen their second goal was a handball and I didn't believe our first goal was a foul, but obviously they are the margins," James Tavernier told Sky Sports.
Beale then added: "I'll have to look at it a bit closer but after Ben's mistake, it looks like the ball hits the boy's arm. It might be outside his body but it hits his arm.
"They're rough decisions for us today. The mistakes were costly but I thought we played well in parts of today's game.
"It does add to the frustrations that they've been checked by VAR. But I don't want to go for it. The guys have seen it and they've deemed it.
"I'm just disappointed. I'm not a manager that's gone for VAR at any moment this season, but with those two decisions I think they've got them wrong."
Boyd, despite being disappointed with the defeat, was not in favour of the claims from the Rangers camp.
He responded: "Well, no. I don't know what angle James Tavernier has managed to see a handball there. You can tell the way Jota reacts exactly where it has hit. Again, if I am James Tavernier I am coming out and saying more about my defending.
"I mean, Ben Davies looks and sees that it's Jota and ducks into the challenge. Ben Davies just has to go and clear it. You always go to your greats, Richard Gough went right through you and cleared it. Ben Davies has obviously tried to duck into, but with regards to the handball I have no idea where they have seen that."
