Rangers have reportedly commenced talks to sign Honduran winger Luis Palma.
The 23-year-old has been told he can leave Greek outfit Aris Thessaloniki in the summer if their valuation is met.
There is believed to be stiff competition to sign Palma from clubs all over Europe.
And the Scottish Sun claims that the Ibrox club have stolen the march in the race to sign the attacker.
Their report states that Rangers are in talks with Aris over a £4.3million deal.
Capped six times for his country, Palma has been impressive during his year in Greek football.
He only joined in January 2022 for a modest six-figure sum, and has three years remaining on his deal.
So, Aris are now in line to pocket a hefty profit on the left-sided winger.
As well as featuring as a wide player, Palma has also shown his capabilities of playing in a no.10 role and as a striker.
The report does also state that Rangers have yet to table an official offer, but the situation is fluid and could change as Michael Beale looks to step up his recruitment drive.
Scotland’s work permit rules are more relaxed than down south, so that could also clear a path for Palma to join Gers.
Agent Paulo Hernandez commented: "Playing in England is a bit more complicated.
“It’s not like X team wants you and they send you the offer, you pass a medical, and start playing. It’s not like that, England is more complex.
“You have to take into account that there is a point with the work permit. It is not like other leagues where it is so easy to play.”

Meanwhile, Beale is poised to complete a deal for Chelsea defender Dujon Sterling as he bolsters his ranks ahead of the new campaign.
Moves for keeper Jack Butland, who is currently on loan at Manchester United, and Norwich City midfielder Kieran Dowell are close to being announced as a host of players get set to head for the exit door this summer.
And former Chelsea coach Beale is now set to be reunited with Sterling as the 23-year-old closes in on a move north of the border after a successful loan spell in the Championship with Stoke City.
