Brad Friedel has urged Ange Postecoglou to bring Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic to the club this summer.

The American has fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge in recent times and it is understood that he is keen to leave the club this summer.

Pulisic is said to be willing to take a pay cut to leave the Blues and reports have suggested that he could leave the club for a cut-price £15million, despite being rated at £10million more than that.

Postecoglou is slowly building his Spurs side for the new campaign and former Tottenham keeper Friedel believes the new manager should look no further than Pulisic.

He told football.london on behalf of OLBG: "Under certain managers I would have said no, this is nothing against Christian as of course Christian is an excellent player, but Postecoglou's style, yeah! That type of player I think there's a few things in his style as he likes to have the ball, Christian is very good with his feet, he like dynamic players and dynamic movements, and Christian has that.

"One of the issues on that transfer, though, is the money. They spent a lot of money on him at Chelsea and he's on a wage at Chelsea, to my understanding, which is more than what Tottenham pay. That will be a big part of if something like that could occur.

"I know not everything is always about the finances and perhaps Christian would take a pay cut to play. If he does leave the country then inevitably he's either going to need to get paid out or take a pay cut as not everyone across Europe is going to be able to pay him what Chelsea does.

"That is the type of player and winger Postecoglou would like. He would fit into his style and I think the Tottenham fans, other than his Chelsea ties as that would be another interesting one, they would love him. Maybe the Tottenham fans would like the fact he's come over and with Mauricio [Pochettino] going to Chelsea that would lessen the blow a little bit."
