Ange Postecoglou is said to have won over his Tottenham players almost instantly with a galvanising speech this week.

The 57-year-old officially started his tenure as the new Spurs manager last Saturday.

Since then, the Australian has been acclimatising to life as a Premier League manager, and getting to know his players and staff.

He left Celtic last month as he opted to take over the reins in North London after the turmoil left behind by Antonio Conte earlier this year.

It's been reported that the mood in the camp among the Spurs players is already significantly better than it was under the Italian.

And it's been said that the feel-good factor was almost instantaneously brought back by Postecoglou after an initial address with the squad this week.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Football London's Alasdair Gold said: "He has made a really quick, positive impression with everyone, players, staff. He is a very strong communicator is one of the the things I keep getting told. We kind of knew that before but hearing it take place at Tottenham is a big thing.

"He leaves you with no doubt what is expected of you. Whether you are a coach or a player, young or old, or a member of staff in the background. He lets you know very clearly what he wants and what he expects.

"Then it is down to you to deliver that. He likes to go into new clubs and tell a story to get his way across to his new players.

"That sounds very much what he did at a group meeting when he came in. That sounds like the way he presented it.

"He told a story of what they are going to become, and what he wants from them and how they can achieve it.

"I think the thing he often says is 'Nobody ever created anything new without coming against resistance and difficulties, and people not believing they could do it.

"But that is how you become something special by overcoming those sort of things'. I think it is the same speech he does at each club and I pretty much get the impression that's what he did again at Spurs.

"Everyone, everyone in and around the players, those players have come away thinking 'Oh, yeah, absolutely, I'm ready to get to work for this guy."
