Celtic goalkeeper Conor Hazard has joined English Championship side Plymouth Argyle on a three-year deal.

The Northern Irishman, who played seven times competitively for the Hoops, was at the club for nine years.

He recently enjoyed a successful spell on loan at HJK Helsinki in Finland, where he lifted the title and played in the Europa League.

Hazard's most memorable Celtic moment came in the 2020 Scottish Cup final, where he saved two penalties as the club lifted the Quadruple Treble.

Argyle manager Steven Schumacher said: "I am very pleased to have signed Conor. He comes to us from a huge football club, so we know he will have been taught superbly.

"He has international experience and all the fundamentals required to be a top goalkeeper. 

"Conor will complement and challenge our current team of excellent goalkeepers, and we look forward to seeing him in action.”

Director of Football Neil Dewsnip added: "Conor had a brilliant year in Finland with HJK Helsinki where – like us – he became a champion last season.

"That is the kind of player we always strive to recruit; people with a champions mentality, which we will need in the season ahead."

Meanwhile, 

Kyogo has opened up on his new contract at Celtic.

The Japanese star is excited to get down to work under new manager Brendan Rodgers this summer.

The Irishman replaced Ange Postecoglou last month as he sealed his sensational return to the club.

He was dealt a huge blow as Jota left the club last week as the Portuguese winger headed for Saudi Arabia. 

Since then though, Rodgers has been laying down a marker by signing up three of the club's best players on long-term contracts. 

Kyogo, Diazen Maeda, and Callum McGregor have all signed bumper deals to further underline their commitment to the Parkhead club.

And the former is delighted to have extended his stay with the Scottish champions, as he now looks forward to working under Rodgers and learning from his experiences as a coach in the Premier League.

Asked about working under a new boss, Kyogo told Celtic TV: "He's a brilliant manager.

"I'm happy to be working with him and I would like to return the favour by playing well with success.

"I'm really delighted, to be honest. I'm happy that it (new contract) shows how much they value and need me. For the team and for the people who support and, eventually, for myself, I will continue to improve and deliver the success."
