Jose Cifuentes is closing in on his move to Rangers.
The Daily Record states that the midfielder will arrive in Glasgow today to finalise his switch from LAFC.
The 24-year-old has already signed a pre-contract with the Light Blues.
However, Michael Beale and the club want to make the deal happen earlier, with their preference to get it over the line this summer.
The Ecuadorian is a long-term target of Rangers and Beale has already expressed his delight at getting his man.
But it would seem they won't have much longer to wait, with the report claiming that a £1.2million agreement has been reached with LAFC for the midfielder.
It's believed that Gers chiefs will greet Cifuentes at Glasgow Airport.
He won't be included in the team for the Premiership opener at Kilmarnock on Saturday.
But he is expected to be named as a Rangers player before the weekend.

Meanwhile, Alfredo Morelos has been branded a 'disgrace' following his final season at Rangers.
Chris Sutton has aimed a final dig at the former Gers striker.
The Colombian bowed out of life at Ibrox and Scottish football with a whimper last term, having taken to both by storm in the previous five seasons.
The 27-year-old departed Rangers at the end of his contract in June. He has yet to find a new club and has been training alone this summer to keep up his fitness levels.
El Buffalo's fitness is certainly something that was called into question on a few occasions last year by fans, pundits, and even Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
