A leaked image on social media appears to show new Celtic signing Gustaf Lagerbielke at Parkhead.

The centre-back, 23, is set to move to Celtic from Swedish side Elfsborg.

And it looks like a deal is all but finalised with the defender snapped in a full Celtic kit at Parkhead filming an unveiling video.

An image on social media shows the centre-back with the number four shirt at Celtic Park ahead of confirmation of his transfer switch.

A deal worth £3million was believed to be close earlier this week, and Brendan Rodgers, without namedropping Lagerbielke, did reveal after his side's win over Aberdeen that another transfer was close to completion.

Maik Nawrocki has already been signed to bolster Celtic's backline this summer, but after Starfelt's exit for Celta Vigo, Rodgers has moved to add another option.

Quizzed on Celtic interest and whether it would be a step up, Lagerbielke said: “Very much. A fun challenge to come to a big club in Europe and play the Champions League and hopefully win titles. So that would be fun.

“It is a very big club with a good Swedish connection with Henrik Larsson, Starfelt, Lustig, and Mjällby among others. They play the Champions League every year and win titles.”
