The money Rangers forked out on Brazilian striker Danilo would be enough to keep Morton going for three years.
That's according to Ton manager Dougie Imrie.
The sides meet this weekend in the last-16 of the Viaplay Cup. The game will be played at Ibrox on Saturday and will be shown live on TV.
Danilo cost the Light Blues £5million from Feyenoord. He joined the club at the end of last month and has featured in every competitive game since.
The 24-year-old scored his first goal in a Gers shirt against Livingston last weekend but has come in for some criticism for his poor miss against Servette on Tuesday night.
As most know, the finances at Rangers and Morton are worlds apart. But that won't stop Imrie and his team from giving a good account of themselves.
He told the Scottish Sun: “It’ll be massively difficult in terms of facing top international players worth millions of pounds.
“Danilo probably covers our full wages and expenditure for around three years which tells us the level of competition that you’re facing.
“We’ll embrace it though. The club have been fantastic since I’ve come in.

“Everything I’ve asked for I’ve generally got and if we can’t get it then we can only ask. The draw was just fantastic in getting more finance to get another couple of players and we’ve got Jammer and Alan in. We’re hopeful of adding another two but that’ll take time.
“I’m not bringing bodies in for the sake of it, they have to be the right fit. I’ve got a fantastic group who give their all."
