Gary Neville believes Scott McTominay is being 'managed out of' Manchester United.
The Scotland international was an unused substitute at Erik ten Hag's side went down 2-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday evening.
Ange Postecoglou's side stormed past United with a brilliant second-half performance in North London, which was coupled with multiple failings from the visitors.
Pape Sarr scored not long after the break to give Spurs the lead, while an own goal from Lisandro Martinez with minutes left on the clock sealed all three points for the hosts.
McTominay was only afforded the final moments of United's opening-day Premier League win over Wolves.
But after this latest game in which, despite being totally overrun in midfield McTominay wasn't brought on, Neville sees no future for him at his former club.
The Sky Sports pundit reckons Ten Hag is making is totally clear that the midfielder has no part in his plans anymore.
The 26-year-old has over 200 appearances to his name for the Old Trafford club.
But with Mason Mount's arrival, as well as links to other midfielders such as Sofyan Amrabat and Amadou Onana, McTominay has fallen down the pecking order.

Neville pointed on while commentating on yesterday's game for Sky Sports that United's midfield looked lost.
And he highlighted that the reluctance to throw McTominay into the mix showed the manager no longer wants the Scotland goalscorer.
Neville said: "What's clear is that Manchester United's midfield needs bolstering.
"Ten Hag wants a number six who can play alongside Casemiro and, at the moment, the club can't get players out to be able to fund that.
"If they look at the first two weeks, they have to fund it or there will be a big problems.
"What is clear is that Ten Hag doesn't want to revert back to Scott McTominay. With Fernandes on the right, the midfield looks all over the place and the front three doesn't look capable of functioning as one.
"Does he go back to McTominay? Ten Hag has made five substitutions and not used him. It's almost as if he is managing him out of the club."
