Luis Palma last night took a step closer to completing his move to Celtic.

The Honduran international was pictured boarding a flight from Greece to Glasgow.

The 23-year-old is set to become Brendan Rodgers' latest signing at Parkhead this summer since his return as manager.

He will sign in a £3.5m deal from Aris Thessaloniki in Greek football. It is expected that an official announcement could be made as soon as today.

Palma's previous club, CDS Vida, shared an image on social media of him ready to board his flight to Scotland, as they wished him luck on the move.

It's said that personal terms have still to be finalised, but that there should be no issues on that front, with the player in line for a huge pay rise at the Scottish champions.

Should the deal all go through okay, Palma could be thrust into the team for this Sunday's crunch derby match against Rangers at Ibrox.

Rodgers also wants to add another striker, centre back, and left back to his squad ahead of Friday's deadline.

Meanwhile, Neil Lennon has admitted he would be interested in returning to Hibernian.

The former Celtic boss has broken his silence on links with the vacant Easter Road post after Lee Johnson was sacked on Sunday.

He said: "Of course. I have been there before, it's a big club, it's got potential.

"But there has been change after change after change. There has been no consistency at coach level and that's probably the most important role in the whole of the football club."
