Brendan Rodgers has offered an insight into mega-money Saudi transfer offers, insisting there is no way that Celtic or Rangers could compete.
The Parkhead manager was the subject of talks between a Saudi club before he moved back to Glasgow, but he decided against the switch.
Celtic also had one of their prized assets in Jota leaving the club this summer as he joined Pro League side Al-Ittihad, and Rodgers admits the money has a huge sway for players.
He told talkSPORT: "There is absolutely no chance Celtic or Rangers could compete.
"You can't match it in the Premier League, so you are never going to able to match the Saudi money.
"It is definitely something that makes players wobble that's for sure. The money that is talked about and what it can do for not just players and their families, but the legacy they can create for their families years down the line.
"I think the thing that makes it dangerous, and I only know this because I actually spoke to a club in Saudi when I left Leicester and was thinking of maybe taking a year out.
"Out of respect, I spoke to a team a couple of times. The big thing is and what makes them dangerous is, of course they have the money but they have a plan there.
"The plan is on course in terms of attracting top players and looking to get top managers out there.
"And even bigger than that as well, what you've got is they are looking to improve the infrastructure, the facilities.
"I think also bringing these top players, if you look at Ronaldo and how he looks at his body, he was the first big one to go there, I think what they are looking at in life in general, these players who are super fit and professional can help people in health and life.
"That is also part of the plan for Saudi in terms of health and wellness for people. It is not just purely the money, it is the overall plan."
