Kenny Miller has named the two things Michael Beale must achieve in order to keep his Rangers career on track.
The former Ibrox striker has responded to some hefty criticism of the club's manager while speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard.
Rangers beat Motherwell 1-0 on Sunday in a lacklustre performance on home soil. By Beale's own admission, his side got away with one against Stuart Kettlewell's impressive Steelmen.
The victory did make it three wins in a row for the Light Blues, but there were some audible boos from sections of the home crowd.
Following on from the derby defeat against Celtic, there have been many calls for a change of manager at the club.
While Miller believes that's still a way off for Beale, he's set out the challenge ahead in the next few months for the boss - lifting the League Cup and reaching the Europa League knockouts.
The pundit said: "It was justified based on everything that Michael said post-match.
"He agrees that it was a really, really poor performance and he was asked about the last 10 minutes and he corrected then and said it was from the first minute. He was not happy with the performance of the team at all.
"He expects better, and he is not hiding behind any stats of three wins and three clean sheets - he owns that it was a really poor performance. It was toxic towards the end.

"I have been in there as a player when you are only winning 1-0 against the lesser level of opposition - even though Motherwell were outstanding - I have been there before and you can feel it. I could feel it in the stands when I was there.
"It's game-to-game. If Rangers fail on Wednesday, or fail to win on Saturday there is going to be serious, serious discussions at Ibrox. But they don't play Celtic until December.
"I think they will be in the knockout stage of the Europa League come December, and in the second week of December I believe Rangers will lift the League Cup in Celtic's absence. He needs to get to that point, but I am not saying this with any great confidence based on what I watched (against Motherwell)."
